OCR: Dear AM/FM-reader , Welcome to this issue's MIDI Music section. This time, things have been done a little differently here; for one reason alone: Disk space !! Because of the ever increasing problem of extremely tight disk space on AM/FM-disk, we have decided to try to squeeze things down a bit, but still give you the same amount of pleasurable material to dig into. This time, all the MIDI files on this disk have been squeezed into a self-extracting LHA-compressed file which is stored in the "MIDIFiles" directory of this disk. If you look into that directory, you will find a file called "5MIDIFiles.run", and this file is, as I said, a self-extracting LHA-package containing 5 different MIDI files for your pleasure. Before you will accept this little extra work, in the knowledge that the result is that use them, you must decompress them to another disk or harddisk. We hope you we can offer even more material on each disk. The following 8 MIDI files are stored in the 8MIDIFiles.run package: MAPLE .MID An old piano classic OWNER . MID "Owner of a Lonely Heart" by YES ! ENTER . MID "The Entertainer" for piano ADDICTED .MID "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer BLUES .MID - An enjoyable blues song by an unknown (to me) author f you don't know how to decompress/extract the files, don't worry, it's REALLY easy - look at chapter 2.1 in the "Using AM/FM" article. All the files are Standard MIDI file format, and can easily be converted to Music-X format using the "new and improved" MIDI <- > Music-X conversion utility that was presented on AM/FM Magazine Disk #13. Happy MIDI playing? Yours , AM/FM-Ed, Bjorn A. Lynne AM/FM
